DOUBLE COIL RETAINING RING (ALSO KNOWN AS DOUBLE COIL CIRCLIP / SPIRAL WOUND CIRCLIP) is designed for the toughest retaining jobs. They have a uniform cross-section and are free of burrs. These products can be coiled to your exact specification in any diameter and with any number of turns /coils.

Retaining Rings, which are available in several types and various sizes, are used to fasten assemblies on shafts or inside housings and bores. The ring installs into a groove, thereby creating a shoulder that will retain the assembly.

Internal and External series retaining rings use standard industry groove dimensions and are interchangeable with standard circlips (Die Stamped ring).

Double coil Retaining Rings meet IS/ DIN specifications and are found in thousands of products around the world.

These rings have a low contact, with multiple rings with very little gap width and are especially effective for grease sealings and for the exclusion of fluid media, dirt and dust entry as well as other contaminations. In addition to their outstanding sealing characteristics for rotating components, the low contact laminar rings with low friction produce a significant reduction of internal heat and wear, which qualifies these sealing elements for high speed applications and applications in temperature and/or friction sensitive installations.

Our precision forming operation that coils flat wire to create almost a-perfect circle. Circular-Grain metallurgy gives our products strength and stability far superior to that of conventional Circlips (stamped ring) which are simply stamped through the metal grain.

Material: Stainless Steel - 304 and 316 grades
